Frequently asked questions
How do I add a moment?
Tap "Add moment" at the bottom of the timeline. Add a photo or video, write a few words about what happened, and link a milestone if you like.
How do the phases (pregnancy, birth, first year, toddler) work?
Kiddo works out the phase automatically from your child's due date or birth date. You don't need to switch anything yourself; the timeline and tabs move along on their own.
Can I keep track of more than one child?
Yes. Tap your child's name and photo at the top of the timeline to switch or add a child. Each child gets their own timeline, milestones and growth data. Adding a second child requires Kiddo Plus.
How does syncing between devices work?
Kiddo syncs through your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) between devices signed in with the same Apple account. Without an internet connection the app keeps working locally; everything syncs again once you're back online.
What is Kiddo Plus and how do I manage my subscription?
Kiddo Plus adds multiple children, video in moments, unlimited photos per moment and letters to your child. Manage your subscription via Settings > Manage subscription, or through your iPhone's Settings under your Apple account. If you stop Kiddo Plus, everything you've already added stays visible.
I already bought Kiddo Plus, but the app doesn't recognise it.
Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the Apple account you used to buy Kiddo Plus.
How do I export my book?
Go to Settings > Export your book. Kiddo creates a file with a readable book, all your data, and all your photos and videos in full quality, which you can save to Files or share. This always works, even without Kiddo Plus.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a child via "Edit [name]" in the app; that child then disappears everywhere, including from your iCloud. To erase everything at once, delete the app. Read more in our privacy policy.
Does Kiddo notify me if my child is falling behind?
No. Kiddo gently reminds you of things like a monthly photo, but never says your child is "behind" on a milestone. For questions about growth or development, we always point you to your child's doctor.
